Brute PathThe Bonded Fury

Berserker

Surrenders conscious control to become an elemental force, fighting not for victory but for the perfect expression of violence.

Pick Tree

10 picks along the Berserker path. Pair them with the general Brute class picks.

Level 2

Choosing this locks Berserker as your Specialization. You can turn your Berserk into Blood Rage. You gain additional Berserk dice from missing Health Points. You receive an additional die when your HP is below 50% of maximum HP and a second die when below 25% HP. You may use HP instead of WP for Actions during Blood Rage. Any kills you participate in while in Blood Rage return WP equal to your RES bonus and extend the duration by one round. At the end of your turn you lose WP equal to 2 times your level. You can not activate Blood Rage while at full Health.

Deathless Fury

1 Action·50 WP50 SP

Requires: Pick: Blood Rage · Attribute: STR 10

For 5 rounds, your attacks cannot be dodged or blocked. When reduced to 0 HP, you do not fall - continue fighting until the effect ends. All damage taken while at 0 HP is tracked. When Deathless Fury ends, Rage ends immediately. Apply all tracked damage and conditions at once. If this would reduce you below 0 HP, you gain Exhaustion stacks as normal.

Level 6

Requires: Pick: Blood Rage

When your HP drops below 50% or 25%, you gain the corresponding Blood Rage dice bonus as normal. If you are healed above a threshold, the bonus dice from that threshold linger for the remainder of your current turn and your next turn. If you are healed above a threshold outside of your turn, the bonus dice linger for your next two turns instead. If healed above multiple thresholds simultaneously, the stronger effect takes priority and lingers until it expires before the weaker effect applies. Each threshold triggers independently.

Requires: Pick: Blood Rage, Deathless Fury

When Deathless Fury is active, you may activate a second extension on any turn before the effect ends. Extending Deathless Fury costs 2 STR Bonus and prolongs the effect by 5 additional rounds. From the moment of second activation, you cannot receive healing from any source until Deathless Fury ends. All damage tracked during the original activation carries into the extension. When Deathless Fury finally ends, all tracked damage and conditions apply as normal.

Level 8

Requires: Pick: Blood Rage, Death's Defiance

Whenever you would drop to 0 HP or 0 WP, including triggers of Death's Defiance, you may roll a die and declare odd or even before seeing the result. If correct, lose 1 RES Bonus instead of gaining a condition. If incorrect, the condition applies as normal. When used alongside Death's Defiance, the HP recovery from that ability still applies regardless of outcome.
