The contingency was always part of the design.
When you would be reduced to 0 HP, you automatically activate an emergency system that grants you temporary HP equal to twice your INT Bonus and allows you to immediately move up to half your movement speed. You also avoid gaining Exhausted. Can be used once per Rest.
